R'Professional Career Closet

At the University of California, Riverside, and the heart of the Career Center, is career readiness...

The R’Professional Career Closet was designed to provide students with the tools to prepare for the workforce through creating access to professional attire for interviews, career fairs, and/or networking events. Our goal is to prepare UCR students to be competitive as they transition from education to employment by eliminating any and all barriers. Mission Statement

Dress Code

Our mission is to connect, inspire, and empower all UC Riverside students to become the most career-ready talent in the global workplace.

How it Works

  1. Current UCR students can come into the R'Professional Career Closet located in the Bear's Den (HUB 105) during opening hours to choose up to three professional clothing items (or one outfit) per quarter.
  2. Students can take these items at absolutely no cost to them when they fill out an electronic check out form and show their student ID during their visit.

  • Borrowing a rack of blazers for your own event—perfect for a professional headshot day or an “interview-ready” style showcase.
  • Hosting a private visit to the R’Professional Career Closet, where your students or members can learn about our services and check out items.
  • Organizing a student-run clothing donation drive in partnership with our team.

There are many ways to get involved, and we’re happy to explore what best fits your goals! To get started, please complete our Collaboration Request Form at least 2–3 weeks in advance. A member of our team will follow up with additional details and next steps.
