R’Professional Career Closet
The R’Professional Career Closet will reopen for the Fall quarter during the week of October 3, 2022 in the Bear’s Den.
The R’Professional Career Closet is open in the Bear's Den
The Career Center and ASUCR have joined forces to offer professional wear to students through the R’Professional Career Closet. The R’Professional Career Closet was designed to provide students with the tools to prepare for the workforce through creating access to professional attire for interviews, career fairs, and/or networking events. Our goal is to prepare UCR students to be competitive as they transition from education to employment by eliminating any and all barriers. Come visit the R’Professional Career Closet located in the Bear’s Den (HUB 105) during our open hours.
Fall 2022 Hours
Mondays, 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM

How it Works
R'Professional Career Closet is available to current UCR students during the academic year. Students can select up to 3 items per quarter (or one outfit). These items come of no charge to students when they present their student ID during their visit. The R’Professional Career Closet team is there to help you tie a tie, coordinate an outfit, or help shop!
If you have professional clothing you can spare, please donate it to R’Professional Career Closet. Your clothing will go to a student who is interviewing for a job but doesn’t have appropriate business attire. To donate your gently used professional attire, sign up for an upcoming donation drive or schedule by appointment only with our interns for a drop off date through this Community Partner Donation Request Form. For more information, contact us at email@example.com.
Clothing should be:
- free of tears or stains
- ready to wear
- good to excellent quality
- appropriate for an interview
- purchased within the last five (5) years and/or current with fashion
Ideas for donation:
- Two-piece suits
- Jackets and blazers
- Blouses and dress shirts
- Dress pants and skirts
- Business dresses
All sizes are requested. Clothing that does not meet the above criteria will be donated.
Other ways to contribute:
- Organize a clothing drive: Rally your work colleagues and/or members of your professional association to make it a group collection. We will provide donation boxes and marketing materials as well as coordinate drop-off/pick-up accommodations. Contact a member of the Employer Relations Team for further details.
- Make a financial contribution: UCR R'Professional Career Closet has an established donation fund site.
The UCR Career Center and ASUCR thank you in advance for your consideration of a donation.
