Skill Development
The final phase of career planning is skill development. Although this typically happens in that "first job" after graduation, the Career Center Staff believes it is important for all students to routinely assess their skills, knowledge, and abilities by updating their resumes, attending skill-building workshops, seeking on-the-job training in part time settings, and focusing on project-driven classes that offer the student real world experience. The Career Center Staff provide excellent advice about finding skill-building resources and discovering ways to create opportunities where none existed before.
