Preparing for Graduate & Professional Schools
What You Should Know Before Graduate School
Is graduate school a logical option for you? Are you ready to go? Remember how hard it was to choose an undergraduate school and major? Don't expect graduate school choices to be any easier. Before you go further, think about the following:
- Is a graduate or professional degree a necessary stop for your career choice?
- Have you researched graduate programs?
- Do you know what is involved in the application process?
- Does every graduate or professional school require an entrance exam?
- Can you afford it?
- Will you be able to get recommendations or letters of reference?
The bottom line is that not everyone needs a graduate or professional degree to pursue
a challenging profession. The best way to find out is to ask questions and find the
right information. The pages in this section have been put together to help you sort
out your decision and answer your questions.
