Workshops help you gain knowledge on numerous aspects of attaining a job, internship, or even tips on grad school. These workshops are led by highly qualified counselors who help you develop and enhance your career planning and job search skills.

 Interview Skills Workshop

Do you REALLY know what it takes to be a successful interviewee? Do you know all the do's and dont's of interviews? If not, this seminar will take you on a journey to discover what you need to do in order to put your best foot forward towards getting that job. The workshop will guide you from what to wear, how to act, provide you with sample questions, and ultimately it will prepare you to give an excellent interview that will help you get the job. This workshop welcomes students from all years.


 Basic Resume Writing

Designed for students who do not have a resume or who wish to start from scratch. This interactive workshop will get you started and provide you with resources to "grow" your resume as you continue through school.

Advanced Resume Writing


This workshop is for students who have already attended the Basic Resume Writing Skills workshop or who already have a resume. Workshop leaders will help you enhance your resume or prepare a technical resume for a specific career field. [Please do not attend this workshop unless you already have a resume!]

Seniors: Fall On-Campus Interview Programs


Graduating seniors! Meet with employers on-campus to get a jump start on your job search. Who's coming? What are the qualifications? How do I get involved?

Federal Work-Study, Students Need to Earn Money? Know Where to Start?


There are MANY off-campus and on-campus jobs available with wages ranging from $7.50-$15.00 an hour. You have until June 13, 2008 to earn your Work-Study Award.

  • Federal Work-Study is an AWARD not a loan that you must re-pay
  • If you do not earn at least a portion of your reward, it is likely that it will not be offered to you again.

Making Professional Connections (Beginning)


This workshop builds the foundation for starting your professional connections. Come and learn how to get started and learn common mistakes to avoid.

Making Professional Connections (Advanced)


Participants will take part in a social networking exercise to practice basic professional communication skills. This is a great way to try out conversation skills in a fun, risk-free environment.

Career Station


Counselors are available to answer questions and critique resumes in the middle of campus.
