Careers in Your Major

Find a Career in Your Major

Most students are very surprised at the flexibility that comes with ANY major.  A degree in engineering can lead to a career in finance, while a history degree can lead to a job in the healthcare field.

The links below list common generic majors. Choose the one closest to your major for a list of typical job titles, job descriptions, potential employers, and the training and level of degree you'll need to pursue specific jobs.

If you want to know more after exploring the links below, call (951) 827-3631 and schedule an appointment, or stop by during drop-in hours to speak with a counselor.

On July 1, 2018, the Career Center will begin using Handshake, a new platform for college recruiting. Download your resume from SCOTjobs before June 30. You may begin apply for jobs/internships on Handshake on July 1.
