Come Out of the Dark with Career Planning
In this section you will find all the ways to keep the big picture in view about who you are, what you want from a career and how to get to that career, step by step.
Begin with Assessment to obtain insight about how your personality effects your career choices.
Then look at Careers in Your Major to explore different career paths connected to your interests and major. Take time to look at professions you might never have thought about.
Once you have a good idea of the direction you might want, begin planning your next steps. This is where you will want to regularly check in to the Four-Year Plan page and the Milestones page (these vary depending on your area of study.) At any time, we are here to answer questions or offer Individual Career Counseling. Remember, Career Planning is a lifelong process that prepares you for the world of work and then helps you adapt to changing environments. The Career Center offers services in a five-step developmental model that can be applied at any time during an individual's life journey. Understanding the elements of career planning now will benefit you for the rest of your life.
