A Resume Books is an active job search tool that helps job seekers circulate resumes to employers. Including your resume in a Resume Book allows employers to view it and contact you directly.
Only pre-screened employers who sign up with the Career Center will be given access to Resume Books. Resume books may also be part of marketing campaigns to attract marquee employers to campus.
(Back to FAQ's.) You can choose to use one of the resumes that you’ve already uploaded into your SCOTJobs account, or add a new one.
Submit the the resume that most effectively represents you for inclusion in a particular Resume Book. (See the Q&A below.) However, only submit a resume to a Resume Book if you are interested and available for employment in the immediate future.

For instance, suppose you are an English major with internships in marketing and advertising. Your resume for the "Business Opt-In Book" should highlight your internships and your objective statement should clearly indicate that you are seeking a marketing position for the Business Book. Your resume for the Education Book would highlight your desire to teach and a resume for the Humanities Book might emphasize your creative writing skills.
Business majors qualified for computer science or IT careers might want to submit their resumes to the Engineering and Technical Book, if especially qualified for computer science or IT careers. Engineering students made wish to make their resumes available to companies seeking process engineers, quality assurance personnel, IT staff, etc, by including their resumes in the Business Book.
In any case, include a clearly stated objective and/or relevant coursework to support your special career interest.
(Back to FAQ's.) Yes, you can withdraw your resume from future versions of a Resume Book.
From the Opt-in Resume Book tab in the Documents section of SCOTLink, identify the resume you wish to remove from the book and click the Select Resume Book.
Un-check the box next to the Resume Book name and click Submit. The Resume Book name should no longer appear in the Opt-in Resume Book column next to that resume.
